Areas of Learning & Development

In the EYFS framework, children learn and develop in seven areas: Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design.

Early Learning Goals

There are 17 early learning goals in the EYFS curriculum, covering your child's physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Parents can check their child's development at any stage against the early learning goals, using the ELGs guide.

Progress Check

Class teachers will review children's progress every term and share information with parents at PTCs. Your child's development will also be assessed at the end of the EYFS in which their profile will be developed when they turn 6 years old or move to Grade 1.

End of term Student Fair 18th January 2020

Term 2 has come to an end at Bluebird British International School. The past term was filled with exciting activities, field trips, academic achievements and wonderful friendships. The learning journey will continue into Term 3 on January 27th, 2020. Christmas Fair December 20th 2019

We wish you a Merry Christmas! Bluebird British International School hosted our annual Christmas Fair and Pageant today. It was a joyous occasion for students, family and staff. We enjoyed games, fun activities, face painting, prizes and student performances. First Aid Training and Certification with PhyaThai3 Hospital of Bangkok

Bluebird British International School has partnered with PhyaThai3 Hospital of Bangkok, Thailand to deliver comprehensive first aid training to all staff. PhyaThai3 is a leading hospital in Bangkok specializing in child care and pediatrics. The hospital is equipped with a High Risk Clinic and Child Development Clinic.Proper first aid training is essential for any school to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Bluebird staff reviewed techniques for safely treating burns, broken bones and cuts. Halloween Party 2019

What a Spook-tacular Halloween! Bluebird British International School students enjoyed a very creepy party with help from 1 Coach Andy Sports Academy. This was a Healthy Halloween for everyone at Bluebird. Coach Greg set up a three-legged Zombie Race and a fierce game of Ghosts and Dragons. These activities were engaging and challenging. Snack consisted of tangerine pumpkins and banana ghosts. Students also enjoyed visiting the slime factory, making pumpkin and skeleton crafts, and having their faces painted. Kids Fair October 19th 20th

Bluebird British International School was a participant in the 7th Annual Kids Fair October 19th and 20th. It was an opportunity to showcase our academic accomplishments and meet potential new students and parents. This year’s Graduation Day was a huge success, and the perfect way to recognise the magnificent achievements of our students.The traditional dance performance, Rorbam Bach Phka, welcomed our guests and officially started the event. Eye Checkup with Brien Holden Vision Institute

In cooperation with the Brien Holden Vision Institute, we provided eye check-ups for all the children at Bluebird British International School in Phnom Penh this week. IPC

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is developed for children aged 5 - 11 years old. It is a comprehensive, thematic, creative curriculum, with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for every subject. It also develops international mindedness and encourages personal learning.

NATIONAL CURRICULUM

The national primary curriculum aims to build a strong foundation in literacy and mathematics and ensures that children develop their health, moral understanding, and learning & life skills.
